Ok Emms bike is home and low and behold the dog arse alarm has nailed the battery ....and yes it's a new one too , the fackin thing is coming off !!!!!!! Anyone done it ???? I removed mine on the 996 ...I bloody hate the things ......
I have one on the r1 but it immobilised my bike on a track day, needless to say I wasn't happy They're shite
When I bought my 999R from Ducati Manchester they took the alarm off - didn't give me the option of keeping it as they are shite!
I took my then new GSXR1000 K6 all the way to Santa Pod to see what she would do and the bloody thing craped out on the line on my very first run.Had to get the bike picked up and taken the 100 odd mile home as it completely immobized the engine.I was spitting feathers and guess what,yep it was April the first.Never ever fitted one since.
Did mine on both my M750 Monster and my 748. Previously got rid of similar systems on 2 of my Porsche cars. Don't forget to notify your iinsurers if it is listed on yourInsurance Shedule.
