Daytona Evo 3 boots?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by baylissboy, Mar 24, 2012.

  1. I've decided to purchase a pair of Daytona Evo 3 boots, the problem I've got is that I've not been able to try a pair on, & as I'm going to order them from FC Moto in Germany, I was wondering if anybody could help me with the size of the boots?

I've got an old pair of Gaerne Stadas in size 42, which if anything are a little tight. I normally buy shoes in size 41/42, can anybody tell me if Daytona's are tight or generous in their sizeing?

  2. hi mate , emma got some gtx ladystars and found that she had to drop a size thats with normal thin socks she's normally a size 5 ....on advice from the seller ....hope this helps but really you should see a uk dealer , as you know these aint cheap but the investment is awesome ....i cant fault them

  3. Thanks duke.

  4. I believe Heine Gericke stock Daytonas, my Shair GTX boots are normal compared to other boots

  5. Hideout certainly do. Unfortunately my clodhoppers are way too big to fit.

  6. Well, I have Daytona Roadstar Pro, Security Evo III GP, and Security Evo II (these are for sale....£350), and all are in size 43. I am a size 43, so no need to drop a size for me. They all fit perfectly, and are outstanding boots. Try looking at Motorradhelme und Motorradbekleidung: Biker Land GmbH - Biker Land GmbH ....Security Evo IIIs are €619.99 (postage was around €20 if I recall). They were outstanding for service and price, and contacted Daytona directly for me so I could get my Roadstar Pro's (what the Police and other services/Military use) and the Security Evo III GP's. Neither are listed on the website, and the Roadstar Pro's are special order...you can only buy them when an 'Agency' places an order...then they'll make one extra pair for you! They also liaised with Daytona to get my Security Evo II's refurbished....Outstanding.

  7. Oh, and I should add, my partner has Roadstars too...she's a 40, and the boots are also a 40. They fit perfectly!

  8. I have a pair of Daytona Evo Sport boots and whilst the inner boot isn't quite as hard as the Evo 3, the principle is the same. Because of this, I don't think you can compare these with anything else in the range as far as size & fit is concerned and I would strongly suggest that you try a pair before ordering, not just to identify the correct size, but to see if you think you can get on with this type of boot.

  9. That's true actually. The Evo II and Evo III boots are a little like wearing a ski boot, in that the inner boot is very supportive and kind of clamps your foot/ankle/lower leg into the boot. The hinge (deliberately) stops you twisting your ankle, so you only really have a forward/backward movement (that is the point... part of the claim is to prevent 'twisting' injuries).

In terms of sizing I think they are quite accurate. As I say, I have 3 pairs of Daytona's and my partner also has some. We take the same size in Daytona that we take normally, and they fit perfectly.

If you can't get to a shop that has them to try them, then make sure you are at least able to return them to the dealer you buy them from. That way if you do find they are too tigh/loose, all you "lose" is the postage. Cheaper than a pair of boots you can't wear!

  10. Oh, and I meant "Travel Star Pro", not "Roadstar". .... no inner boot for those though, so a different feel to the Security Evo.
