Decent Bike cover

  1. Unfortunately the new baby is going to have to live on the driveway. Does anyone know whether the Ducati Canvas cover is waterproof?

    Or recommend a decent cover?

    Cheers.

  2. I don't think those covers are waterproof and at that price have you not considered buying a shed for it to live in?!.

  3. I for one wouldn't want to advertise what was under the cover. Get a cheapo cover from Lidl and no-one will give the bike a second look while it's parked up overnight.

  5. Good point well made. Owning a Ducati, especially an 1199 presents a real security problem. There have been numerous unfortunate people on here that have had there bikes stolen from inside locked garages as thieves love these bikes for breaking, so how and where you store it needs careful thought.

  6. A cover will mean nothing when Joe Public sees [and hears] you rumble home on the Pani and leave it on the driveway.

I'd invest in a decent doberman if you have to leave it outside.

  8. Dont get the one down from a stormex mine lasted stuff all time and ripped.
I have a stormex its ok .... I need new concrete :( sand keeps coming up all over the wheels of my bikes :( messes your brakes

  9. Thanks all. No worries about security, thankfully bike crime in Jersey is virtually non-existent, so need for a Doberman either, I have a wife for that :upyeah:

Bike barn looks cool, but how much - could get a B&Q shed for that.

Will probably go for the Oxford, thanks for the recommendations.

Mines's Almaxed with a tatty old Stormex over the top of a new one. If people see an old cover they generally think there's a knacker under it.

  11. I reckon this is right; stick a cover over it and it becomes invisible to the casual thief.
