Derbi Terra Adventure

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by JR45, May 25, 2014.

  1. Anyone had any experience with a Derbi Terra Adventure? Or any other Derbi Sendra or Terra? Seriously considering getting one as a green-lane / long distance trial / road rally bike - just wondered what the reliability and spares back-up is like...
Any information would be much appreciated.

  2. rich seem to remember from some trials forum that the rear is 17inch wheel and normal trails rear tyres are 18inch, which may be a problem if you want to fit a MT43 etc , they are a pretty keen price though, have you thought of the honda CRF250L not the X , the L brand new is £4199 when i was at GTs recently and has full road kit with indicators etc and seat is lower etc, kev

  3. My son had the 125 great bike never had any issues

  4. Cheers Char...
Cheers Kev - yes, I had noticed about the tyre sizes. You calling me a short-arse, by the way ?
    :)

  5. Is it the 125 your thinking of ? Not sure if it came in other sizes - son road it every day through winter as a commute and I'd often nick it to pop to the shops :upyeah:

Did about 90 to the gallon to :)

  7. Char - yes, the 125. I think the only other size they do trailies in is 50cc.
Kev - thanks - you've just given me a laugh on a day I really needed one !

  8. The other option could be a Yamaha XT125...

  9. I have been looking around, and I cannot believe how hard it is to find a small trail bike of any type... When I was younger (yes, I know that was a long time ago) dealers were full of them. Have they gone out of fashion? There's no wonder youngsters don't get into biking these days - all the showrooms are full of 600 and 1000 sportsbikes or 50cc scooters...

  10. OK, so Kev was right... Have bought a CRF250...
    :)
