1299 Des Error - Inertial Sensor

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by bootsam, Oct 8, 2022.

  1. Just went to go out for a ride and this popped up on my dash. Not done anything? I thus did the tyre calibration but nope then came home. Any ideas anyone?

I don't even know where it is lol...

Edit: Found it. Under front fairing between light unit and subframe. Typical....

What I mean is apart from the sensor being fubar'd, is there anything else that could cause this error?

  2. Thanks Chris, but I have that error without the bike running. It came on before I even pressed the switch. So not sure how vibes can cause my error. That said, however, whilst I have access I will add some rubber.

Im doing a reset atm, battery off >1hr.

These things are £450 new. I nearly fainted.

  4. The reset didn't work. However, I took a look at the fuses. I'd been going to piggy back to the gps for a usb. I think I may have accidentally blown the fuse. Well, it was gone. I got the clue when looking at wiring diagram. The gps and sensor go to Fuse 2. I checked and lo and behold. Fortunately, Ive a bag of 5A fuses. Sorted. But, i noted this popping on when I was at Almeria and it reset itself. So, I'll add some rubber whilst Im there. £450 sobs saved.
