my 1299 has come up with a DES error in a small red box everytime I switch ignition on. Attempted to clear with ignition on/off 3 times. But still comes back. I know its to do with Suspension system. Just wondering if there is a common issue with this or if anyone has experienced this before and what the outcome was. Cheers
I've had my 1199S for six years and every spring when I take it off the paddock stands and get it out the DES light comes on. The first time it did it I took the bike to my local dealer who unplugged then reconnected the wires from the forks and shock but couldn't find a fault so reset the error message. I just ignore it now, more often than not it sorts itself out after a while.
This is the sensor not sitting correctly in the air duct which is above the front wheel. A common problem when track fairings fitted
Took my 1299 S off paddock stands yesterday. DES light came on. Battery low warning also.. strange? Been on charge. Took a few pokes to start and battery went flat WTF! Few mins on charge and she fired up..DES light gone.. NICE!
