Hi, my 2020 Desert Sled hasn’t been used for months. Turned it on and the rear indicators don’t work. Front indicators work fine but flashing too fast. Rear light and brake lights work. Bike has hardly any miles, totally standard = looks pristine under the seat - not taken it apart yet Look like LED indicators. Any advice on how to problem solve
Are they factory indicators? I'm not an expert but I believe the power wires will be individual and the grounds likely shared. I would start there. Check plugs, perhaps gently scratch the sockets/pins with a needle to ensure good connection. Just be careful not to break a pin.
Bog standard, think they get their power from the ECU which bothers me as I think the front indicators get their power from the dash.
Righto, they should still have individual wires for power but the ground is likely shared somewhere, which would explain both not working. I would start there. Ideally, grab a multimeter and unplug the indicators. Check the signal from the harness with the meter grounded to the chassis are battery. If you get voltage with the indicators on, the it's probably ground... Or both have failed simultaneously but less likely.
