Yamaha have announced their test rider to take Spies's bike for Valencia, does anyone think that Cal deserves it for the last race as he will get it next year anyway.
Yamaha missing a golden opportunity to see what Cal can do on top flight machinery by the look of it.
Of course he deserves it, but with the way Spies bikes have been maybe Cal is better off on the tech3!
I'm under the impression that Tech3 will not be getting this or Lorenzo's bike, although I can't remember where I read it. They'll be using the same bikes as this year.
Deserve has nothing to do with it. Cal is contracted to the Tech 3 team, so he has to ride it (sponsers etc). I think its much better for the test rider to get a chance to shine
Don't know if its true or not, but Julian Ryder said during the commentary of the Aussie GP, that Cal was having JL's bike next season.
Can't remember where I read it, probably Matt Oxley's column, but I'm sure he said that Crutchlow staying at Tech3 wasn't a great decision because they were going to be stuck with this year's bikes. That may be outdated news now, of course, it was around the time he was looking at the Ducati.
I thought the tech3 bikes were pretty close to the factory Yam's, spec wise, and that next years would be the same.
