Desmo (18k) Service Cost?

Discussion in 'Supersport (2016 onwards)' started by wolfram, Apr 24, 2023.

  1. I've been quoted £1200 - any cheaper options out there?

  2. Depends on where you are in the UK. Main dealer will always quote that sort of price but a decent independent is still going to be £800 if they do a proper job. Andy

  3. Local, and very well respected, indi Moto-Vation did mine last July. £850, or thereabouts (can't quite recall), this included Desmo check (no adjustment required), new belts, new spark plugs, oil, brake and clutch fluid changed, oil and air filters.

Not sure on the OPs location, not in his profile (other than UK), so you may need to look elsewhere. There are numerous Ducati specialist independents out there.

  6. shame you can't get it done in winter, I know at least one main dealer who drops their labour rate by 10-15% over winter which would make a big difference on a desmond service.

  7. I guess have to weigh up if full Ducati service history will lead to an increased resale value or not...

Also, will service at Ducati have any other benefits

  8. if you are trading it into the Ducati dealer network then yeah a dealer stamp helps but you won’t find many who aren’t totally comfortable with a good Indy stamp.
