Just joined up as I'm desperate for a Panigale! I'm from Derby, been riding since I was very young on field bikes, 30 this year and really want to upgrade to an 1199s or 1299s. Currently I have a nice S1000RR gen 1 that I've had for nearly 3 years, trackday bug has caught me this year and I'm ready for a change! Took a lovely 1199s Tricolore for a test ride last weekend and I've not had that much fun for a long time so hoping to pick up a winter bargain on a shiny red thing.

Hmm that's a bit rubbish.....the only thing that might put me off getting one. The upside to the BMW being quieter than a washing machine is never having to worry about track noise limits.
Nah I like to really get to know a bike so that's why I'd never have a dedicated track bike. How can I make a standard bike quieter?!

Speak to the guys on the thread. It may depend on your local/favourite track. Silverstone is pretty good. Snetterton would be a 'mare.
