1260 Diablo Rosso 4

  1. Anyone tried these and if so, opinions? I normally run pilot road 5s which felt fine, not fun, just fine.

  2. Just put them on my KTM SDR instead of the S22s. Much prefer the Pirellis and the S22s were great.

  3. had 2 sets on the V4PP and no complaints at all

  4. For a long while, I ran 2 sets of wheels on my 1200, 1 with Metzeler M7RRs for scratching and 1 with the original Metzeler Roadtec 01s for touring mileage. The 01s were okay but the compromise was the better mileage but since Metzeler launched the Roadtec 01 SE, I’ve not bothered with the M7s as the 01SE, whilst not absolute edge awesome, it’s pretty damn close. The later M9RRs have a following but for me, they didn’t quite match the feel of the M7. Andy

  5. How many miles did you get from them out of interest

  6. just under 3k but then holed one so replaced but reckon would have got 3.5k. don't commute or tour so just hooning about

  7. I didn’t get on with them on the 1260 and swapped for M7RRs which were much better for me.

Weirdly, Rosso 4s on the V4PP are great and I’ve no complaints. Not really sure if that helps!

  8. I put the Rosso 4's on my 2013 Multi to do some trackdays (4) and then did a bit of touring in-between over the summer. I didn't really record the mileage but I think I have around 3.5k on them now and they haven't hit the wear indicators. The mixed compounds seems to have helped stop them squaring off as quickly on the motorways, they've been fine in the wet but it's not been that cold yet.

I converted from Pilot Road 4's to Roadtec01's a few years ago and had the SE01 version on just prior to the Rosso 4. I was getting 8-9k from Roadtec's on the road. I would buy either the Rosso 4 or Roadtec01's again depending on what I was up to that year.
