Did my first trackday on the 1098 three weeks ago , tyres were excellent , dry track . Booked for trackday on friday and showers seem to be on the cards Anybody do a track day in the wet on these? Any info appreciated.... P.
Done one on a GSXR 750 with said tyres. Better than Supercorsa's in the wet (what isn't) but not really any fun on a wet track. No better or worse than other supersport tyres I've ridden on in the wet although Bridgestones do seem a little bit grippier. It helps if they are warm to start with and obviously you keep off the slick bit right at the edge. Seem to slide progressively so you at least get a warning. Good luck, let us know what you think of them. OGR
Did a torrential TD at Silverstone a couple years ago on Rosso Corsas. Water wasn't clearing along the Hangar straight, and tipping in through the off camber Stowe corner was fun as you felt the front and rear slip. But the Rosso Corsas were epic that day. I think the PP3s are even better in the wet, although the DRCs are a more responsive tyre.
There is no doubt pp3 is in its own league in the wet Hard to get the right balance I suppose ! Any how looks like I might not have to worry too much, Fridays weather is looking goooooood:biggrin:
