1000 Diagnostic Connctor?

Multistrada 1000S DS - Gen1 Hayabusa - Yamaha TDR250

Hello All,
Whilst poking around in my battery box I found this connector flapping around loose. Everything seems to work so I am thinking that it is a diagnostic device connector?

Yes, diagnostic port. Should have a protective cap on it.
