Hi everybody. Just ridden down from Newark UK through France and Spain into the Algarve Portugal on my 2011 Diavel. Had a couple of issues on the way with overheating and the EXVL warning. I've got a new thermostat coming to Ducati Lisbon and have ordered an exhaust valve eliminator off ebay. BUT just had a minor disaster. I had the fuel tank lifted up out of the way to get access to the exhaust valve servo which I am in the process of ditching when I accidentally knocked the tank off the bike. As it fell it overstretched the wiring to the fuel pump and sender unit on the bottom of the tank and ripped the wires out of the actual connector block which stayed with the tank. I thought i had replaced the wires in the same order back into the connector but now the bike won't start and I can't hear the fuel pump turn on. All the fuses are okay so I think the wires cannot be in the correct order. There are 2 black which i assume are earths, a blue/white and a brown/white. Does anybody know what the correct order should be?
Welcome Dave and hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will be along soon...... @chrisw can you help?
1.brown/white 2.black 3.white/blue 4.black Looks like from right to left when looking at the back of the connector.
Hi, brilliant!! Do you call the front of the connector the side with the retaining clip? Scratch that!! Wa hey!! Running again!! Thank you so much, I thought I was up shit street 1500 miles from home for a while!! There again............its 28C and the famous N2 is just round the corner........there again, no bike, no N2!!
Assuming it is a super seal type. Connector clip to top. 1 to 4, right to left looking at back where wires go in.
