I have just fitted a new battery and the display has defaulted to Km/H and Km/l. to change this the manual says to start the engine and hold the flash and reset switches simultaneously for 3 seconds but it wont enter the unit mode. I had the display replaced under warranty and it was set to MPH ok after the replacement. Has anybody had this problem? Any help / Advice much appreciated.
Had it last week. You dont have to start the engine as it infers. Power the bike on with the flash and reset switch pressed inand the display will show UNITS, then go from there
The joys of trying to reset the units in the channel tunnel and not realising it doesn't need the bike to be started, just woken up with the 2 switches pressed. I was disappointed after a 6000 mile trip and returning to the UK and switching back to mph it zero'ed all my trip meters so I didn't have an accurate mileage for my trip
Yes, that is true even on the DVT. Changing units between Miles and Km zeros both the trips, but not the overall mileage. If you want a mileage record, keep a careful note of the figures before you change the units. Great blog by the way @Bigyin . Thanks.
