Have any of you tried using window solar type film on a clear visor? Shark visors are expensive, but I thought a solar film would work. The film costs about 7quid. I'm not sure the film would be easy to remove. Is this a stupid idea or worth a go?
I tried this just as an exercise on an old clear visor that had a scratch and it was fine. Easy to apply and hairdryer to shrink it back. A bit of a trick on things like the pinlock studs but careful craft knife and you're Okay.
Try that 3M wrap stuff that's on YouTube. Seems you float it on with spray from a bottle then use a scrim to take the bubble from the centre out. Looked bloody good on a bonnet and they can do bike paintwork to. Rob seems to be championing it elsewhere on the forum.
I think it's called being lazy. I'm heading for birthday shopping tomorrow and will stop off and look again. Lucky it's cloudy here everyday
Well now, yesterday I looked at Arai, Shoei, Agv. I can't justify the price of an Arai, I mean its just of my reach. The Shoei nxr and air are good fits, so is the K5 so McCallens are ordering in my size from the catalogue. In my humble opinion, the K5 is half the price of the Shoei, but not half the quality. I will probably buy the K5 when they arrive later in the week.
Agv are horrible very noisy Loved my Arai think I got a good deal from helmet city a couple years back
I'm not listening la la la la la la All helmets are noisy Arai are too expensive for me. OK I will buy the Shoei?
