What is your question? My 81 came with a one piece but was later changed to a 2. I'm pretty sure the 83 two piece is very similar.
Hi Rick It’s regarding the head diameter of the screws / bolts. When you get a chance, would you be able to measure the ones on the fairing and the side panels please? I’m getting various sizes given by suppliers and would like to know what was originally fitted. Cheers Niall

The conical ones are on all the fairing joints and the domed ones on the right are where the top part of the fairing attach close to the headlamp:
