Do You Think....

  1. Ducati will update the 1200r Monster for next year?? I Took one out for a demo while the 1199s was getting its service. To say it was a laugh is an understatement. Don't want to get a 1200s if the 1200r is just round the corner. The only downside to my thinking at the moment is that you can feel/see the 5k difference when i get back on the panigale!!!!
At what stage do I admit I'm getting old and the Monster is the better option????
Would you change a Panigale for a monster?
    Or have both:grinning::grin::grinning:

  2. Well, if you were flying triplanes in the First World War, you have to be getting on a bit...

  3. its more joint problems, too many years playing rugby. If I can straighten my legs when I need to stop it saves falling over....

  4. I have just admitted that I am past race bikes and bought a Multi. Went to Almeria with my s1000rr and had to physicaly lift my leg on to the pegs. After two days I could hardley walk. Sold the bike as soon as I got back before I had second thoughts and keptit for another year. I really got very little rideing in last year due to knee problems so this is definatley the way to go for me. However saying that I have not had a twinge since so perhaps I just need a little race bike for an occasional blast. Still waiting to ride the multi so hope it will be up to what I am expecting.

  5. May have found the solution to the above, its orange!

  6. Yes I read that report about a standard one beating race prepared panigales. Like to try one sometime.

  7. Talking to KTM dealer...9 of his friends have just ordered there's. thing is I've always had a ducati.... the electronic package on KTM is supposed to be excellent. There is no rush to change. Book price for trade in was the same I paid for the bike last year.

  8. Trade in price from KTM dealer for my GS was much better than I could have hoped for with a private sale. Obviously they have the margins on the product. That said much better than previous experience for trade in values against a new Ducati.

Really like the monster 1200. Just not practical for me as I want touring potential along with hooning potential.

  9. Have you looked at the Tuono factory? I could have been tempted if the tank range was better.

  10. have you every tried to get parts for an Aprillia??

  11. Is it still bad?

  12. Can't talk recently...
But I wouldn't risk it. How many main dealer have you heard off??

  13. Maybe I am in a well served part of the country for Aprillia, as there are two not too far away. Ducati a safer option though if your concerned over back up.

  14. I've had two aprillias. A Millie R and a tuono R. Great bikes, and a superb ride. But.... back up shocking....

  15. ive had 4... all tuonos, but couldnt get on with the weeee lil v4..

an as for ktoom.. a few of me muckers have gone down that route, one switched to a multi after 6 month, the other is sticking with it, with regrets.

  16. Still think 1200r with updates next year...
