Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by 900streetfighter, Apr 11, 2014.

  1. Essex branch DOCGB meets this Sunday 12ish at Bird In Hand, B1024 Earls Colne, north of Coggeshall. Nice pub that serves hot snacks/meals, tea/coffee. all welcome. Cheers, Keith.

  2. I'm in bits this weekend, so the bike. New carbs and valve check, I will be at the next one.

  3. Doing a breakfast ride out to Mersea Island on Sunday morning with a few non Ducati's. If we are running late I will divert to Coggy, if I can find it.

  4. If you can find Mersea Island, you can find Coggeshall...........A12 to A120; turn North onto B1024 at Coggeshall for Earls Colne....(or slip off the A12 at Kelevdon for the B1024 to Coggeshall).

  5. I'm thinking of heading down to Tattenham Corner, Epsom early tomorrow morning for the Pioneer Run start. That's in totally the opposite direction from Essex, I'm afraid, but it happens to be quite near Box Hill and Newlands Corner.

  6. That sounds interesting morning Pete, I haven't been to that, another on the to do list.

  7. Bit late on this!! Awaiting friends to leave, but will try to swing by. Anyone going today or all out elsewhere?

  8. I'm planning to come along to this - maybe meet some of you there.

  9. great see you at the pub. Keith

  10. Hi all. Good turn out again:upyeah: and good to see you all! Some v smart looking bikes esp the light blue one!! (Apols - can't remember the type lol but I like!!)
    Cheers and see you again,
    Andrew.

  11. Hi,

Great to meet some fellow Ducati owners (thanks for the welcome Keith!) - very friendly bunch with some interesting bikes, and not a Panigale amongst them.

    Cheers.

  12. What a shame.........I couldn't get there because I was stuck in the bathroom with a Stilson wrench and some bath taps that wouldn't stop leaking........and having got the b*ggers off, I found that the new taps would not fit the pipework...........so I ended up having to strip the old ones apart to repair them.............would they come apart?
Well.........eventually, after a lot of cursing.

Still.......If ever the Essex lot want to ease over the border into Suffolk and the lazy gits in Suffolk want to get their act together, there's plenty of room at my place in a rural location for a Sunday meet.

Sounds like a good idea sir. I'm just in Suffolk meself so north or south for an "Essex" meet is fine by me:upyeah:. Good luck with the pipe works also!!

  14. Thinking about locations for a 'joint meet', I wasn't aware of this but it seems RAF Woodbridge have trackdays (but it seems its for cars only....)......

The Bentwaters base seems to be tied up with film and TV locations..........

.........I also know the owner of part of the old USAF Debach airfield, but he would probably want some financial remuneration.....plus IIRC it is a bit bumpy.........

Maybe we should all meet up at Tescos at Copdock!! ;)

  15. Isnt there some cafe near martlesham thats a biker meeting place? Woodbridge is nice area with some reasonable roads iirc? Snape maltings a little further along also. On the other hand tesco copdock would make a fab meeting place with great views of both the a12 and a14 lol.

  16. Great turnout yesterday, over a dozen bikes in and out, mostly dukes from 250 to 1198. Good to meet some more forum members. Cheers, Keith.
