DOCGB London Wed 13 March @7.00 pm The London Branch meets second Wednesdays at The Ship Inn, Jews Road, Wandsworth SW18. It's a large riverside pub near the Wandsworth roundabout. Nothing too formal, all welcome. Just turn up, or PM me.
Just four of us today, but considering the weather (1° and damp) not too bad that two of us turned up on bikes Good to meet Julian, an Aussie with a 996 paying his first visit.
The Ship Inn is in the middle of a major refurbishment and overhaul project at the moment, so a bit dusty. Should be good when it's finished.
so a general bump for this meeting - it's the 2nd Wednesday of every month then? I will see how many I can round up for next week particularly if weather favourable (as ever).
I'm planning to attend this week...weather looks pretty awful so maybe on the Honda again. Is the pub definitely open?

Guys be careful today I got caught in tow unexpected snow storms. First one at Piccadilly so was good but second one on A40, could see nothing past 1am ahead, got super cold and brakes were working but tyres not so much.
Thanks - I heard about the snow in central London but missed it today. Meeting tonight was great! Around a dozen turned up, and we had a good natter. Not too many Ducati's (two), and Yamaha & my Honda. Unfortunately we've lost the meeting room - the pub has literally bricked it up. We slightly uncomfortably squeezed into a corner of the pub that wasn't being used for the quiz. Time for a change in venue seems to be the concensus. More news soon..
Another really excellent meeting - what an interesting and friendly bunch. Thanks L - my steering went a little light over Newlands so backed right off - no carb icing this time which is strange (Monster) - engine even idled at traffic lights
Yes, I intend to check out the Mawson Arms (next to Fullers Brewery near the Hogarth Roundabout, Chiswick) to see if it might be suitable. The old DOC used to meet there weekly many years ago. More news soon ... By the way, Italian bike night at the Ace Café (North circular road, Stonebridge Park) Thursday 14 March.
We may have a small problem in that the Mawson Arms shuts at 8pm on a Wednesday (though I believe this can be extended by appointment). The Mawson Arms - Home Was it the nearby George And Devonshire that the club used to meet in?
