Hi I've had my Hypermotard 1100s up for sale but so far only had one offer of £4000. Just contacted we buy any bike and they have offered me £5000. Got me thinking of taking some of the goodies off it and putting the standard bits back on then selling the trick bits separately. My question is do my Termignoni exhaust end cans fit on any other Ducati models?
Depends which Hypermotard you have. If its the current one, then the lower can (there are two - a higher and a lower) will fit the Hyperstrada too. Otherwise nope. Each termi set up is designed for the family of bike. 899/1199 - 848/1098/1198 etc
Having said that... It's just a tube with some packing at one end, so you *could* put it on anything you wanted. But it might not make it go faster
"we buy any bike" will give you an excellent quote so you go in for them to inspect it then when youre there theyll drop the quote dramatically so i just wouldnt bother
I have heard this, but to be honest there was reason to drop in the one I heard about - if as described then I'm not so sure. If you think it is a reasonable price try them and do swap all the extras if you never disclosed them and sell separate. I had my 999s for sale for a few weeks on here and Ebay - Northern Superbike Centre bought it over the phone for £4700 and I thought the same would happen. Guy came, looked it over - no issues. They then had it for sale for £1000 more and sold it in 2 or 3 weeks so someone missed out, (not on a bargain as the money I got was good) - I paid £4500 from a dealer for it a year before with service life left and sold needing cam belts and made £200 profit.
mate took a pristine standard gixxer in and they knocked a grand off what he was originally quoted... other people i know have had similar issues.
nope their attitude was take it or leave it (he had full service history from the Suzuki dealer he had the bike off as new). He left it and got what they had quoted from a private seller who collects gixxers and he went over it with a fine toothed comb.
