Hi, as i said previously, sorry for the dumb ass questions! We had a few battery related issues this weekend and i am seeking the collective wisdom on this.... Hopefully this video uploads... does this sound normal? it sounds a bit lazy to me? edit. let me try uploading that again...
That sounds like my previous 2014 bike from cold, is it faster to turn over when bike is up to temp, mine always was ?? PS, I think photobucket is just too heavily loaded with adverts and shit nowadays, this link works fine
Just watched on an old video of my 2014 bike, exactly the same, and had it for over 2 years with no issues, so think you're ok mate.
Mine's been like that from the first day I got it (second hand, in my hands for three years now). Never had a problem firing up. Sounds very normal to me. It's probably going to be a bit quicker and lively if you swap for a new battery (for a month or so, then it will be back to this).
Thanks everyone. Clearly I need to get used to it. Every time I press the button i am wondering if it will fire up at the moment!
No problem, should be a little faster to turn over when hot, they are very tight lumps with quite high compression figures so they appear to struggle a little when cold, but all sounds normal to me.
My 1199s is pretty much the same when stone cold after a week or so stood idle. Once up to temps it starts in a split second. Yours is very normal I think.
My old 1000 does the same, from cold I noticed it sounds like it might not start but when warm, it fires up on the button quick smart. Probably just me but I did notice that from cold, if I left the throttle alone it was okay, if I tried gently using the throttle as I fired it up, it struggled more, dunno why.
Sounds exactly the same as my 2013 when i start it every morning, couple of spins then kicks. Completely normal
Yep... normal.... and lazy.... Upgrade yer cables and she spin faster than a Yorkshireman hearing a coin hit the floor.
Sounds exactly like mine (2013) and I fitted a new battery less than a month ago. I have had electrical issues because of (what I think) is a problem with the way the aux/gps connector is wired which was eating batteries, but that is all sorted (removed) and with the new battery it still sounds exactly like yours. Mine does fire instantly when warmed up.
