So on my 1260, I have noticed lately (and who knows maybe it's been there all the time) that my bike has a pretty good slapping or knocking noise on cold start up. It goes away after a bit and its definitely not noticed after warm up. Not the clutch...pulling it in has no affect. To me it seems like the valve train but no idea......not even sure it's an issue but thought I would ask and see if anyone else experiences this..... Thanks!
My ENDURO (45,000 miles) makes some funny noises at start up sometimes...a kinda knocking is one of them...hard to tell exactly what with a de-cat pipe and race slip-on As above check your oil regularly, you may need 1/2 a qt every 5,000 miles.
