When i was looking for exhausts i like the look of the Mivv triple exhaust or the Zard , but i did this instead > Recored ,must of been 6-8 years ago when i did the recored exhaust mod... i must of pack twice (exhaust packing fabric) before i left it running unpack cause it kept on blowing out the exhaust
Yet I quite like them. They seem to sit neatly under the seat unit on YouTube vids I’ve found. I prefer them to the other ones Denzil posted. The question was if anyone had any experience of them ;-) The Mivv Triple look awful - far worse than the eBay ones. The ZARD is lovely (similar to the Racefit one I like) but I have seen the price :-0........ Decoring is a total no for me. I went that route with my first RC8 and have also attempted to repack an Akky RC8 exhaust. You’re right - total pita!!!!
My 749 had Mivv triple X cones when I got it. They sounded good but just looked horrific. As soon as a termi came up at a reasonable price it was sold on... Termi, Zard, Akra, Leo Vince etc look decent and sound great. Subjective though, some people like anodised parts and stick on carbon bits too...
Not me - can’t stand unnecessary shit like that. I do like to search out new stuff though and asked if anyone had heard of Dominator. Some time ago the same questions would have been asked about Akrapovic and Zard. I wonder if they’d have had the same down the nose reply??
Sorry dude, didn't mean to be overly snotty. The difference with Akra in particular has always been the quality. They're not a budget brand.
No worries. Let’s face it - they are cheap, they’re probably heavy and they don’t look as good as the traditional “letterbox” exhausts that Termi, Zard (and Racefit - that I generally hate - chavfit I call them) have come up with. Gone are the days of me spunking 4 figures on an exhaust. I’ll keep my 749 standard I think.
I had a set that came on a Superduke I bought, they were offensively loud and not very light, build quality is nowhere near a termi/akro but i'm sure they won't fall apart. Fit for purpose and cheap as chips if thats what you want, but I think you'll spend on those and still be very jealous when you see a bike with Termis
I’ve never seen the fascination with Termi’s. Ducati’s aside, their cans have always been distinctly average in both build quality and looks. Personally, Akky, Arrow or Leo Vince would always get my custom.
Hey. I tried one of these when I had my 749s. Awful. The fit was terrible. The exhaust hanger was shite, the number plate hanger was shite. All in all a waste of money. Oh and it was well heavy, and well loud.
The link pipes were also terrible iirc. They didnt seal and kind of flopped around. I reckon their regular link pipe kits and cans may work great on a normal side mounted exhaust, like a Jap sports for example. Deffo not worth the hassle for a 749/999
My garage buddy ordered some Dominator cans and link pipes fos his Diversion. They did not fit, not even remotely. Ended up having to put back the old ones and return the shitty ones...
