Donington Park 17th July

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by GreenOn, Jul 13, 2018.

  1. Light rain showers and a gentle breeze, sounds about right for my luck at Donington, it's been a 100 degrees for the last year and the day we go there it's forecasting rain

  2. Not looking good for shiny new slicks then. : unamused:

  3. Not ideal mate, looks like I will be sharing our demo RF with my brother, so will just leave the standard Pirelli SP's on, not my favourite, but probably better than slicks for the day, I will look out for you.

  4. Is that an official Aprilia day guys? I've got an RSV4 too but not joined a forum (only had it a few months)... I was actually up at Donny yesteray for what can only be described as carnage... weather great but too many tools around.. hope the weather pics up for your day !

  5. who with?

  6. No limits... I was in inters, had 5 red flags in the morning, 2 in 1 session.. and one on the first lap of one session.. it's was getting stupid... Fast group wasn't much better either.... they got on the tannoy at 11 and told everyone to calm down ...

  7. sounds irritating.

  8. The last 2 we're fine though and sun came out..i guess most of the bell ends had crashed out...

  10. Not an official Aprilia day, however there are apparently over 100 Aprilias booked on, so should be great sight to see and hear. A normal No Limits noisy day 108db but with the added bonus of lots of Italian V4's.

  11. Looks like the forecast has already changed for the better, so you never know, may get a few dry sessions in. I think I may regret booking the Inters, let's hope it doesn't turn into a Red Flag day.
I will try and seek you out Mr Hinge, wouldn't mind having a bit of a chat about the engine work you have had done on your 1098R, see you Tuesday.

  14. I’m booked in the big boys group this time. A load of lads coming down from Scotland that I know from euros so should be good craic.
Come and see me, I’ll bore you to death with 1098R ness....

  15. I'm aiming to meet a couple of friends in Garage 12A if anyone wants to join us.

  16. Just got back from a great day. Good to meet up with Mary Hinge and GreenOn again.
Good standard of riding in the fast group for a change and hardly any flags.

  17. Great day mate, thoroughly enjoyed it. And Jeeeezus, there were some rapid boys in our group- not least Micheal Rutter on the Triumph. It’s witchcraft I tell thee.... making bikes go round corners like that....
Went to find greenon but he was out on track...

  18. Session from yesterday following Paul (Mary Hinge) on his V4 at the start.
