Donington WSBK spoiler

  1. Race 1.
Well what can you say? Top 10 a tutti frutti of all brands, then the 4 Ducatis bringing up the rear. Only bikes behind are those that crashed or retired.

I don't buy it that Carlos has lost it. I think he is diminished physically, but clearly in the present company, the Panigale WSBK don't cut it. Can't imagine that the 4 Ducati riders are the worst of the whole grid.

We will see in race 2, but I don't hold out much hope. And yet Donington isn't a top speed track.

    Something's wrong.

  2. i think they should go with moto gp technology.......oops, they did!

  3. They do appear to be going backwards after a promising start at Philip Island.
    Steve

  4. One of the private teams needs to throw the crapagale in the skip and enter a 1198.
Good to see a MV doing well in supersport.

  5. Chuffed for Sykes u gotta love the guy. As for ducati I don't think checa should be written off yet he's still hurt and it wasn't that long ago he was winning the championship. Good ride by Canepa aswell it would be good to see him on the superbike more often

  6. It was a great day for TS. That Kwaka was in another league.

  7. I really enjoyed yesterday. Apart from the huge building site in the infield (it looked like a quarry) the place looked great. Yep Skyes dominated the day really and some good results in the support races to. When walking around the paddock I saw Bradly Smith a few times as well as some other riders including Marco Milandri, Johnathan Rea, Tom Skyes and Sylvain Guintoli and Leon Camier.
Not sure why Checa didnt do out in the second race, but the field did look a lot smaller on the whole

  8. Shoulder problems again, according to the commentators.
    Steve

  9. Ahh that would explain it. I intentionally found a place where I couldnt hear the track commentators as they were talking shite all day

  10. Had a good day there... But the place was dead! More spectators at Oulton fit BSB a few weeks ago, maybe the cost on the day was part of it I dunno but there was little atmosphere, racing was a procession but good for us Brits.

Glad I didn't have to pay to be fair.

  11. Yep, great results, crap races. I watched a bit of it when I got home and Stuart Higgs said the crowds were only a third of what they used to be in the good old days. Can't blame the weather either.

And Matt Leblanc didn't even get chance to meet me .

  12. I was trying to flog a couple of spare weekend tix outside on Saturday, a lot of people were just going for the qually cos race day was too many £££.

  13. I didnt think £25 entry is that bad for the Sunday, saying that I was comp tickets so I was shocked at the price of the chips

  14. £50 on gate Raceday. The choice of food was crap, crap or crap. We were at Redgate Saturday and Sunday and there was just a burger stall with burgers, bacon or sausage in roll plus chips.

  15. Race circuits take all punters for neanderthals.

Apparently, paying motor sports enthusiasts want to eat crap and then go to a bog that is like some sort of Indian latrine. They don't want to wash their hands, or use bog paper. They like lakes of piss.

They are also keen not to be separated from their helmets and luggage. They want to arrive in leathers, and then spend all day in them, not change into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

It seems amazing in this day and age that track owners and events organisers have never given any consideration whatsoever to the things that could really enhance people's day. You should be able to check your helmet, leathers and luggage in on arrival for free.

  16. There was a helmet tent right by the entrance but don't know if it was free. We didn't use it as we chained our luggage and lids to front wheel. I had the oldest/scruffiest bike there(907) so figured no one would open the bag and steal our dirty undies.

  17. The amount of people wearing all kinds of leather combos was astounding. I saw one bloke walking around in shorts and t shirt, carrying his leathers and the outside of his Supertech R in an impromptu rucksack. He was walking around in the armoured inner of his boot
Glad I went in the car so I could wander around in trainers, jeans and t shirt with a record bag

  18. Ah but did you have a go on the wheelie thingamajig? lol

  19. Nope, waste of money and you look like a tool in front of everyone who thinks they can do better
