We had the weekend there, sat/sun staying in Derby fri/sat nights. The new 2 day schedule was really stretched out and not helped by 3pm races due to F1 tv clash. The paddock show was ok, we met some riders inc Chaz at the Sunday morning session and the mc was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. For us and a few peeps I spoke to the old set up was better. There was twice the spectators sunday than on saturday.
I'm not entirely sure why WSBK doesn't seem to have the same following in the UK as the BSB, especially as Brits are dominating the series. Brands the previous weekend was a lot busier both days although not the busiest I have seen it in recent years. I was also surprised that there were no takers for Ducati hospitality at Donnington given that they were full on the Sunday at Brands. With the exception of Chaz, Shakey, Glenn and Danny certainly seemed to have more personality and showed genuine interest in meeting the fans which I found very refreshing. Andy
I went. That HUGE gap between racers made me wonder why I bothered riding nearly 200 miles each way to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
