Had the back wheel out to fit a new tyre, so took about 3 screws out of each side of the lower fairing bellypan just so it would drop down enough to let me use the ABBA stand in the swing arm pivots. Job sorted, new tyre on, putting screws back in fairing and 1 missing now how does that work!! Hunted all over for it but no joy, so I thought I'll order a couple of spares from the dealers this weekend -- £3.20 per screw!! :Wideyed::Wideyed: should be a couple of pence for an M5.0 screw, unreal the mark-up on these things, so look after your screws guys! Also needed a special 12 point 36mm hex socket to get the back wheel nut loose, ( its tight, 180 Nm :Inpain: ) managed to locate one at Machine mart for £10.79 - bargain!! this would have probably cost about £40 from our friendly Ducati "stealer", just a heads up to potentially save you all a few quid Poucher
Well, on the bright side, the screw is not in your new tyre, is it? A few months back I needed replacement screws for the brake reservoir cap on my Suzuki (cross-head, made of butter) and rather than pay £1+ per screw I looked on eBay and found a helpful supplier of "reservoir cap screws for Kawasaki or Suzuki" - they arrived quickly and did the job - stainless countersunk with allen heads - and cost much less than the OE items (I received about 5 I think, so have some spares). However, I was leafing though a catalogue one day - Toolstation rather than Screwfix, but no doubt Screwfix are good too - and realised that I should perhaps have looked there first: Stainless Steel Screws | Toolstation
CPC will do various almost identical machine screws for bugger all - just need to work out the "M" type and then find the wide flange hex head type and get correct length.
