  1. taken from another forum
happened this afternoon in Italy near Rome
    tragic !

  2. just read this on crash.net .........rip

  3. It sounds like he crashed and was then hit by another rider. The really sad thing is it happened at a Marco Simoncelli memorial event, who, as we know, died in exactly the same way. Both superb riders, both will be sorely missed.

  4. he lost control of the bike and was dragged by it into the path of an oncoming bike, there's a pic but I'm not going to post it

  5. I wouldn't want to see it.

  6. After consulting the riders and the Simoncelli Foundation it has been decided to continue with the event tomorrow... proceeds will be split between the Sic fund and Romboni's family.

  11. crikey, when will this type of accident ever end!RIP

On my recent visit to NEC we, my son and I bought pics of simo and valli. One brilliant pic of Simo and Valli on track together rounding a bend, Imola track! Also Simo wheelieing!...Sorry got a bit side tracked, I just wish Simo was still racing..such a character!

  12. Racing is dangerous, these things happen. Thankfully a lot less often than they used to.
