  3. Previous model bike (2010) does not have triangular bracket on the frame.

  4. Mine is a 2010 and has them, with a threaded bolt fixing....

    Don't have crash bars fitted though

  5. Some did, some didn't right up to 2012.
    I'd be worried about that bracket swivelling around the frame and damaging it in the event of a low speed tumble.
