Hi I've bought a 1098 Grey Dp rear stand off eBay. I was told it would fit my 08 plate 1098s but guess what it doesn't my axle is a 42mm & the stand measures at 39.7 mm with my digital vernier gauge. Anyone got a Pin to swap or sell ? Or a solution. Thanks in advance Paul.
design corse can get the spindles from Gubellini but it might be cheaper to sell it and buy the correct one
Does 2mm make that it that loose or do you mean your axle is smaller than the stand diameter, my Gubelini stand did not fit got it machined down for a tenner.
Yes makes it loose I've wrapped a bit of PVC tape round the spindle ! A bodge I know !!! But I got front & back for 100 quid so can't complain really
Get bit of old copper 11/2" waste pipe, dress it round spindle, solder it on gas hob. permanent bodge.
Take it too a local engineering firm and get it sleeved to correct thickness with stainless easy job.
