Hi all ,I'm trying to track down some original DP indicators from the ducati catalogue for my 996SPS, are they still available? if so what is the part no and does anyone have any pics ! I believe they were alloy bodied and black in colour but I stand to be corrected, just trying to keep things original as I see so many nice dukes with aftermarket parts that do nothing for the bike at all.Cheers Gav.
Don't think they're available anymore, if they're the ones I'm thinking of. The part # was 97065B01A. Google them and you should see if that's the right ones. There is a silver set on eBay at the moment ( put in Ducati performance indicators) as I think they did them for the Paul smart bikes.
Hi Steve I just dug out an old accessories brochure from 2004 and they were still listed then exactly like those ones in black or silver and they were sold in sets of 4 indicators unusually!
Yes of course! Some more of the parts I've been accumulating over the years for the 998 project that never got off the ground! PM me if you like.
The DP indicators came in silver only all four had the small block feet so the front two would fit the air intake tubes, plus they had orange lenses with 21w mini halogen bulbs. Made by DPM of Italy. no longer available :-(. brian.
My dp catalogue of 2004 says they came in silver and black ,the silver/alloy ones were a slightly different shape than the black anodised ones(oval lens),but both were offered for the 748/916/996/998. the footprint of both looks the same in the catalogue. Gav.
they def came in black, that ebay auction is spot on (but insanely expensive) they dont come up often but check italian/german ebay too
They definitely come in black too, cos I have some! And I've seen several sets over the years sell on ebay for stupid money!
The eBay ones are expensive, but they weren't cheap even back in 2003/4 when I bought mine. I also have a second set that I had fitted to a Bimota, so wiring is chopped about, been keeping them as spares. Also fitted orange LEDs to mine.
