Drift Cams Advice Needed

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Richc, Jan 27, 2016.

  1. I've read a lot of threads on here about the Drift cams. Most seem to be saying go for the Ghost models, has anyone any experience with the Stealth models in the Drift range?

  2. I have the ghost s model which takes an external drift microphone , which i think the stealth doesn't , absolutely love mine but i have heard a rumor they are about to release a new one anytime soon :grinning:

  3. Got a Ghost-S which I've never used although I'm not sure why. Never sure where to mount the bloody thing to get good footage without it being vulnerable to accident damage. Andy

  4. Cheers guys!
The Ghost S is a little out of my budget, the Stealth nearly half the price which is why its more appealing to me.
I'm looking to mount one permanently on the bike. Mainly for my own peace of mind in case of accidents. 'Its Me's' off last year got me thinking of it, a bike cam would have caught the individual responsible for it. I'm wanting to mount it out of sight too, so it's not as obvious, possibly under the headlight fairing.

  5. Go with the stealth if you are mounting to the bike as a dash cam type thing. They are very small and if not wanting to add a mic then will be a good option. Slightly lower frame rate in HD and no screen to view video. None of these seem t be important so go with it. I have the Ghost S, but had a good look at the stealth at the bike show

  6. Cheers Hamos, I'm leaning towards the Stealth now. Its for safety use, so I'm not too bothered about the sound part and having super HD quality. The small size and ease of mounting is good as well. Found them online for £130, which is quite good I think too.
    Thanks!
