Ive been wanting an action camera for some time and was looking at the reviews for the drft ghost hd,it seems that this devise blows the go pro and any other devise out there, out of the water, for its looks and functionality and is a fraction of the price.i brought mine for £220 and then brought some extras, like fairing mount, and hard case for when its not in use,so far ive been so impressed with it.any of you guys have one ??
My son got one last year just before we went to the I.O.M TT great quality, unfortunately he didn't clip it into the holder on his tank properly and it came off over the mountain and was crushed by following traffic. Luckily it was insured!! never found the memory card so all previous footage was lost. Steve
I bought a Drift Ghost last week. If the gale force winds bugger off I'll test it on the Mutley tomorrow. Have devised lanyard so won't miss lay it whilst out and about! Had a Goperv before so will see if this is as good on the image quality front.
Bought mine from Roadcraft Nottingham (Beechdale Motorcycles is the shop bit). They are now a Drift stockist offering %10 off at the moment. Delivery was fast and postage free.
Looking at getting one of these myself, but trying to work out if its worth the extra £100+ for the S version. Any input?
I was looking at the S spec and it does 1080p @60fps and has a (much) better battery life. The Drift gets my vote over the GoPro because you can see what you are shooting on the camera withought having to stream to a bluetooth phone or an add on bit of kit and it's still cheaper. Andy
Drift stayed on bonce today. However wrist remote won't pair up unless it's plugged into a power supply(as if charging it). Most odd; latest firmware done, camera a few days old but no joy so no footage of a good 3 hour run out in the sun. You can't operate the top buttons on camera with winter gloves. Also funny how the camera is waterproof to 3m on its own but the remote isn't!!!! Am now charging up Ghost again and will see if I can sort it. If not a phone call tomorrow to Action Cameras. :frown:
I thought all the remotes were the same freq, as I know of a few being use in racing and having them turned record/stop by someone else!
The new rx7 corsair is fluted on the edge of the helmet ,making it impossible to stick the mounting puck on there,so I had to buy another helmet Now normality has been restored I will post my video I made about this problem.
