Lucky me i was given a Drift Ghost S camera for xmas , complete surprise but really look forward to using it I have been doing some research on line and some people say that they can freeze without the correct memory card in :disappointed: so could anybody that have used this camera tell me the best memory card to get 32gb or 64gb and which make please
I did my homework before Christmas & decided to go for the ghost S... My hints for one in my stocking were ignored though : ( Enjoy it !! ...let us know how you get on with it, where you mounted it etc
In my sony I use a sandisk and a Kingston, both 64gb SDXC cards and don't have a problem. I think the main problems come from cheap knock-off cards. If you buy a cheap one online then check the holograms and packaging before you open it.
Yeah that's it, you need a class 10 card. It's the write speed that's important and class 10 writes fast enough. I used Sandisc. Great camera, much much easier to mount than a GoPro. I just find the lens a bit wide if I'm trying to shoot bike to bike. It means you have to be really close to the other bike. Trust the adhesive mounts, they're fine. I tried knee cam... A Velcro strap around my knee holding the bracket that the camera clicks into. Great stuff. Don't use the camera as a knee slider though.
The wife did buy me a go pro but i have exchanged it for the drift for the easier mounting options and ease of use
they are great only thing that sucks on the drift on a bike is the wind blast noise/distortion, if u put a piece of electrical tape over the mic hole or better still take the cover off an put tape underneath it
Or you can buy a microphone and route it under your cheekpad when helmet mounting. The Drift one is also long enough to site out of the wind and away from the camera if you're mounting on the bike somewhere. I got a copy of Final Cut and its amazing. A real step up from iMovie but then it is professional grade software.
