Having recently purchased a Stealth 2 action camera for the bike, I was very impressed with the video footage but shocked at the poor sound (wind noise) it was terrible, as this model only has an internal microphone I tried a piece of sellotape over the mic to try and help but that only muffled the noise, so after a Google search I found a vid of a bloke fitting a pigtail so an external mic could be fitted, any tampering obviously voids the warranty but as mine was a second hand Stealth I thought what the hell, after getting the bits needed to do this conversion it took about half an hour to do and the results are amassing, total cost £2-50 including the external mic and lead. A link to the video on you tube. I used a small piece of heat shrink to insulate the soldered wires inside the camera. And don't use an electric drill, just a drill bit and twist with your fingers.
