Hello, I've been trying to clear the rain water drain in the lock recess on my tank filler, but it's not clearing. I've tried compressed air at work but it isn't blowing through, just blowing back. I can't even find where the hose comes down, I found the filler cap breather hose and one with a rubber reed at the end which I don't know where it goes to but not the water drain as I blows through ok somewhere under the tank. Any help appreciated to where I should be looking for the hose or how to clear the drain. Thanks. PS. Still no 1100 prefix....
Turns out, (thanks to Multistrada.net), that the drain goes down a pipe inside the tank then down to the off side of the tank just above the vertical head cam belt cover and exits the tank through an aluminium threaded adapter which a rubber hose attaches onto. It's possibly the aluminium adapter that has corroded internally and blocked itself. Undo very carefully and drill out.
