Hi all, have used my enduro setting to set my front and rear suspension just the way I like it, set the throtlle to 150 low (150 high is too sensitive) and its been great over the winter. now that spring is here I want to do one adjustment and that is the DTC, originally I set it to MAX 8 (I think) because roads were wet and wanted as much safety as possible. however I have found it that it actually stops wheelies and actually limits the power a little because obviously the rear tyre must spin a little when u gun it. since its now nice and dry - ish in the uk I am going to back it off a little so that I can still wheelie and there is less power restraint from the computer.. what do u guys reckon ? - touring is set at 5 and that used to wheelie ok, I reckon 4 will be 'ok' ? I'd say just try it....it's about feeling after all, and therefore the feel that you like. On setting 8 it definitely retards the drive, because as soon as you open the throttle quickly the red ring light flashes immediately.
Do you have the suspension settings? I feel the front is vague on mine and it's something I want to play with within the Enduro setting like you once happy I can transfer those settings into the Touring map
yup will post my settings on here, am a heavy 16 plus a bit stone boy so you might need to notch em down a couple digits. in terms of level 8 dtc, I actually never/hardly see the red ring light, its just it FEELS like its retading the engine weird, but I think the ring must only come on when things really spin. now on level 5...ride home from work will tell if anything better when gunning it...
Oh, but you're right....in 8 you can really feel the traction being damped down, as if you have no/little drive....you do, but it just feels really 'soft'.
yea like a soft 'cushy' mode...now massively looking forward to having gone back to level 5 on way home... (nice to have the computer settings aint it!)
