Whilst giving my bike a clean today I noticed my seat had become discoloured(oily looking blotches). Was just about to post on here to ask what you guys recommend when I remembered my footballing days (serious knee injury at 13 prevented me from representing my country/lifting world cup/East Dunbartonshire trophy but that's another story) and the stuff I used to clean my boots with. Yes Dubbin or saddle soap as it's sometimes called(clue's in the name). Anyway off I went to the cupboard under the sink(you know where you stick everything that you think you may need later) and lo and behold there it was, a rusted round tin half full(I blame my Yorkshire father and scottish upbringing for throwing nothing away). Applied to said seat and it's come up good as new. So for all you ex footballing legends and those that are not dubbins your answer.
