For Sale Ducati 748r (853) Track Bike With V5 And Daylight Mot

  1. Thanks for looking....

    I've owned my W reg 2000 model 748R since 2006

It has a daylight MoT (to Nov 2025) but apart from the annual renewal has never been used on the road so its total mileage will be quite modest. I kept it MoT’d just in case it needed a ‘road test’ after any fettling but that almost never happened. It has a brake light and a horn. No lights, no speedo.

It’s time to move on. I just love this bike but it’s not going to be ridden any more so someone else needs to take care of it.

It’s been used as a track bike throughout its life with me. Maybe 3 or 4 track days a year at its peak but over the past 5 years almost no use. Never thrashed… I just love riding it

Bought from MotoRapido with 11k miles showing but I’d be amazed if it’s done more than 4-5k miles since on track over 18 years

Let me list the key features:

High capacity radiator (for an RS I think)
    50 mm Termignonis
    Floating disks
    Brembo clutch master cylinder/lever
    Brembo brake master cylinder/ lever
Ohlins shock valved for my weight/ performance
    Ohlins steering damper
Showa forks re-valved by Reactive Suspension for my weight/ performance
    Carbon airbox
Rearsets (dont recall the make but a see pictures)
    Clutch cover (see pictures)
Track day fairing and seat unit
    Dynojet Power Commander 3
    Carbon airbox
    Carbon air tubes
    Carbon dash
    Carbon hugger
    Carbon chainguard
    Carbon airbox covers
    Suede effect seat pad
    AccuMate trickle charger
5 spoke Marchesini wheels with almost new Pirelli Diablo Corsa SC2 (they’ve done 1 evening session)
3 spoke spare wheels with rain tyres including front discs
Front and rear Ducati Performance wheel stands
Ducati Performance screw type petrol cap
Front and rear Diamond tyre warmers
    Digital volt meter
    Bike cover

Services by Coventry Ducati with belt change less than 200 miles ago
At the time of purchase I was told the 853 conversion was by Sigma Performance but I can’t provide any evidence to support that
In term of condition, it could do with the area of flaking crankcase paint at the rear barrel area being addressed but it is just a cosmetic thing

Not really sure what it’s worth. If I were younger I’d be keeping it but that’s not the case. Looking at the spec and what some bikes go for I thing ballpark £7000 would be a good starting point but I’m looking through rose tinted glasses and you’ve got to want one of these

Got lots more pics I can share and very happy to provide IMG_0965.JPEG IMG_0967.JPEG IMG_0973.JPEG IMG_0984.JPEG any info you may want

    Thanks

    Andy
