Saves a lot of hassle & faff reshimming your crank on rebuilds, also any hassle with the crankcase barrel mouth being too tight & you having grief trying to refit your barrels into a too-narrow slot/the dowels being too close. Painstakingly cut from identical thickness gasket paper, these will be posted full size in a double-thickness cardboard sandwich to stop any folding/creasing problems.
