Just seeing if anyone in this group is looking for a 916sps. It is one of the last ones before the 996 on a W plate, about 6300 miles. Large file of service history, got 5 spoke wheels (plus 3 spokes), carbon cans (plus standard.) Also got original stand. Doesn't have yoke plaque as some of the last ones didn't but have letter from Ducati stating its an SPS. I could have one made up but came out of the factory without it so would rather leave it as an honest bike. Few months ago had full service, belts done etc. Looking for around £16,000. I can post photos at the weekend if anyone is interested. Thanks.
With that low mileage it must be in fantastic condition, i'm sure this advert will stir people's souls & make a purchase from you sooner or later.
If I had the cash available now, we would be talking. Good luck with sale. please stay in touch if still selling in a year or so.
Yes still for sale. Also got a very nice MV 750 F4 for sale if anyone is looking for one of those. Thanks.
No problem, it's always difficult when things are miles away. It is a good clean genuine bike for someone. Cheers
It had a full service with belts changed and MOT at V-Duo Lincoln this year. I have all the paperwork to back this up, but I see your point. Whether it is because it's on its side stand I'm not sure. I'll check next time I get it out.
The tyres were new last time I had the belts done, so three years. The bike has obviously been stored inside out of the sun and on stands so will be fine. I've done 20 mile on them since new.
Just to update the post with a bit of history on the bike. It was registered in March 2000, the first keeper kept it about 6 months and the second owner (who I bought it off) decided to have it painted as a Foggy rep which meant slightly different white number board on the rear and number board on the front, and sticker kit (I have the invoices for this work.) I bought it in 2010, kept it as a Fogg rep for a few years before returning it to standard. I had to have the front re-sprayed red and tail section paint altered to bring it as close to standard as possible, it is all still the original bodywork with Ducati part numbers, none of it has ever been damaged. Originally it had black magnesium wheels but the paintwork went slightly "crazy" so I swapped them for a mint gold set. (I've since had the magnesium ones re-finished so they are available seperately if anyone wants a set.) I know it is probably the worst time to try an sell anything but I would take £14500, or I'll keep it until next year. Thanks.
Nick, If I may, you should post a pic of the engine number. That’s probably the most important feature on a 916 SPS, as it features a 996cc engine. Good luck with the sale!
