Ducati 996 sps corsa ex pro twin?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Ducati worx, Feb 9, 2014.

  1. Any help or comments guys?

  2. why not ring pro twins and ask them?

  3. Hi Andy
tried ringing today and waiting for a call back, just wondering what other peoples thoughts were before I proceed to try and buy it

  4. for me the time difference between when they last saw it and now would be key...

  5. Looks worth the money, but never be worth what a standard bike is. Plus, having no numbers doesn't make it too desirable in my eyes. Would need a lot if not all it's history from original delivery to present really.

  6. Yes I agree, I think the bike is worth it price wise although, if possible I'd like to get it registered here, which is possible but in france is a long drawn out process.
hopefully get an answer tomorrow from pro twins about history and still waiting for all history from the owner.
the only thing he says it's no 627, but with no frame stamp and engine number?...?...

  7. Bonsoir,

When it says 'ex Pro-twin' it means the French racing series for twin cylinder bikes. Don't think it has anything to do with the Godstone ProTwins.

To me it looks like a prepped 996 SPS (at best), don't know about the CORSA thing. It has some Corsa parts, so the advert says.

Wheels look nice and from the pics look like proper magnesium Marchi's.

Generally bikes get a bit of a thrashing in the pro-twins series.

Maybe worth a look if thats what your after but don't pay too much.

    Greg

  8. Looks a bit overpriced to me.
never registered, no numbers, always been used on track.

  9. Thanks Greg, think I'm gonna pass on this one

  10. Think thats a wise decision.

Are we going to see you on a track? I have already a few dates booked!

  11. I'm gonna try and get some track time may/June time, are you heading to Aragon?

  12. Sorry for the late reply.
