My Hypermotard has an alarm on it but I have no idea how it works. Can't find any reference to the alarm in the manuals that came with the bike. All I know is that I press the big button after turning the ignition to on which gives me the StarTrek effect on the digital display, then I can fire her up. If I press the smaller button them the alarm goes off. If anyones got any instructions it would be appreciated. Cheers Ed.
I have the ducati security sys too. big button disarms immobiliser in the alarm system when ignition turned on. Also arms alarm when ignition turned off. you shouldn't need the small button. That's used for programming functions. Have you had the bike from new? If so you should of had the instructions as the alarm is extra. my key fob is different to yours, but assume the buttons do the same functions. If you want (if I can find them) i could copy my instructions and send them to you by post of scanned copies. matt
Hi Matt, Just tried the big button in the ignition off position. I get eleven sets of three beeps and then the alarm activates. It was second hand when I bought i last year and didn't get anything about the alarm. I'd really appreciate it if you could send a copy of your instructions, i'll PM you my address. Thanks Ed
