Got a puncture today. Phoned Ducati Assist on 00800 33228877. It goes through to some company in France, I spent 10mins on hold trying to get through on an international call. They then said they could not help me because I had broken down in the UK. I asked to be transferred and was cut off. I think Ducati Assist is affiliated with the AA, but not sure. I then remembered that I had RAC cover with Bemoto insurance. Got through easily and they had my details however the estimated waiting time was 180mins! I was near a screwfix so purchased some sealant. It did not seal very well so I then stopped at 3 garages on the way home to pump the tyre back up. Does anyone know the UK number for Ducati Assist please?
If you Google 0080033228877 that also comes up as a contact for Seat Breakdown Assist in Europe. A UK number of 0800 262622 is listed for Seat Assist UK. As they are all part of VAG then this UK number may be able to assist. Worth a try.
That’s the number in the (new) Monster owner's manual and my contacts list (Panigale V4). Pretty disappointing and I’ll talk to my dealer tomorrow. Andy
I'm off so Spain in a few weeks and it seems that I have wrongly assumed that Ducati Assist will come to my rescue if I needed it. I have never received any documentation from them when I bought my multi new this year. The dealer just gave me the phone number in case of an emergency. I might want to try their number to see if they recognise my bike.
All the numbers are in the owner’s handbook which you can get on the Ducati website, https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/service-maintenance/owner-manuals. Andy
I tried the number and it was the same experience as "jimmy the hat" , asking me if I was broken down on a French motorway. It started the message saying it was the AA breakdown.
When I called recently it initially asked if you were on a French motorway but I just waited and chose the next option. RAC turned up and repaired my puncture about 30 Mins later
Good to know. I wonder if the first question it ask is if you are on a French motorway maybe because I read that breakdown companies will not come to you on a French motorway. Instead the motorway recovery will take you off the motorway and then you call your breakdown company.
hill100 is correct in that the only recovery company allowed to attend on French autoroutes ( and service areas too ) are contacted via 112 and are basically the duty garage. They will recover you to their base close(ish) by where you can either sort repairs, or contact your own recovery who will take over from there. Been there, got le t-shirt!
