Touring this year with the Ducati branded, Givi V47 litre Monokey top box, proved challenging trying to accommodate luggage for 2 people. Yes, I know we could pack less but there are creature comforts I (and my partner) would prefer not to do without, basic things like shoes ! When you have size 12 feet, shoes take up a lot of space (and don’t fit in the panniers). The other thing that works for us, is packing our overnight kit and clothes for the next day in the top box bag on the morning of departure, which is much more convenient on single night stops and the overnight ferry. My concern is, the Givi branded top box (V56) might not fit the Ducati sliding adaptor plate. The Givi website seems to only show the Givi bits that are not sold by Ducati for Ducati, no top box, panniers or adapter plate. My local Sports bike shop has been great but trying to fit a new box on my adapter plate is something they would prefer not to do. Has anyone up sized their top box and had no problems ? Andy
The underside of a monokey top box is the same dimensions whether its a Givi or a Ducati box. I have the Ducati box for big trips and a Givi weightless box which is on the bike all the time. Both fit on the Ducati top plate
