Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had a Ducati Comfort 2 heated vest made by a company called Klan? They are supposed to be purpose made for the Multistrada and Hyperstrada and I assume must plug into the bikes accessory sockets. I need to buy a heated vest as I have been ill and constantly feel the cold and didn't know whether to try one of these as I have a Muttley. Cheers
I have a Klan heated waistcoat which works fine for me, but it isn't Multi-specific-it had a Cigarette-lighter-style plug on.
I've been using Klan vests for years now and they are OK, if a bit crude on the size of the heat element wiring. Thought I'd broken the power feed to mine a few weeks ago and bought a Keis to replace it. The Keis comes with a heat controller and seems to be more comfy and better designed than the Klan. I've only had to use it once but found the heat distribution to be more sophisticated and the controller fairly easy to use with gloves on. You will need to make up a conversion lead if you want to plug it into the Euro Din power feed on a Ducati .... something I'm about to do myself. The guy that supplied mine did say that Keis list such a thing but I couldn't see it on thier website.
I have two Avada from OZ, doesn't connect to the bike but on low lasts 6-hours, with three settings. AVADEĀ LIGHTWEIGHT HEATED GARMENTS
They are quite expensive but its a new product & I've always enjoyed supporting 1st generation products into the market. Plus it can be used in any number of activities rather than been a dedicated motorcycle piece of tech. Not many of my journeys other than going touring last longer than 6-hours & I've a spare battery from my 2nd top which covers such an issue. The batteries can be purchased as an extra item under 'support/spareparts' for $30.
