If you're trying to use the Ducati Connect app and you get an error saying "Found a different LauncherApp: please make sure there is only one app installed. Click OK to exit." then it's a known issue with the app. They will fix it "in the next update of the App, planned for the short period.". The workaround Ducati gave me was: The list of launcherApps that may conflict with the Ducati Connect app is as follows: Land Rover - Land Rover InControl Apps Jaguar - Jaguar InControl Apps Yandex - Yandex.Auto Renault Alpine - Alpine mySPIN Toyota - My Drive Connect App BRP - BRP Connect If you have one of these launcherApps installed, for the time we recommend that you uninstall it. But I didn't have any of these. After some back and forth we worked out that the BMW Motorrad Connected app was the app in question. As my BMW isn't going anywhere this isn't ideal for me, but hopefully they'll have it sorted soon. I validated that it works once the BMW app is uninstalled, and I also found a way of disabling Android apps too which worked (so I didn't have to re-download all my maps into the BMW app too). Not ideal, but if anyones intrested, let me know and I'll write up the instructions.
I emailed Ducati at the address listed under "Developer Contact" in the Play Store ([email protected]) and they were very quick to respond. Might be worth reaching out to them?
I tried for ages to get the link app to work then i stumbled across the ducati connect app, when the connect app is installed the link app works fine, i assume the same apps are on the apple store too, once the connect app has connected the link app works no problem, drains the battery pretty quick though having both apps running
