If I'm going to have to wear one then I might as well advertise the brand! Anyone found a source of decent Ducati (Covid style) facemasks? Most of the good ones I've seen are in the USA and the shipping makes them too expensive. "These masks are non medical masks" meaning they have zero filtration properties, which is the issue with most of the stuff people are wearing.
The face mask thing really riles me.... but when I visited Cheltenham Hospital (during my Gloucestershire hospital tour) I did have to wear one. But they gave me a proper medical face mask and as it was the rules - wear one to get the f**k out of Dodge, I had to comply. No choice though. But I doubt if they would of done Ducati or West Ham!
Remember, even medical mask like that suck. Yeah the fabric layers they use might help... But they do not seal on the edges well so when you breathe much of the air comes around the sides. They help more to STOP the spread than to protect YOU. Something many are relying on over here is the candle test (I do not) where if you have some kind of cloth and it fits tight around your face... If you cannot blow out a candle you are Fairly? protected. Just keep washing it. Then there are articles that list the types of fabric that is best? some say the GOOD vacuum bags Hepa? are supposed to be decent too. I only glanced at that... not sure if they meant the cloth HEPA bags or the extra foam filter that is usually installed... Basically the denser and harder it is to breathe through the better. I wear the medical surgical ones with a dense stretch neck gaiter over it when I go out. I have whatever the protection is for the blue surgical mask with the over fabric helping to seal it to my face.

I think that what is happily misunderstood is that surgeons operating on you wear a face mask to protect YOU, not them. I alway thought that this was basic science that would be well known. Obviously not. I do wander what the old ginters are thinking when they stride around in the open air wearing a face mask in Berkeley. I wonder if they think that they are infectious then WTF are they out, or do they think that they can pick up an infection walking about in the open air.
Sounds a load of shit to me... Incidentally, talking of sh1t, when health inspectors visited a Mcdonalds somewhere, they found more fecal matter of the food trays than on the toilet sets. Conclusion: you would be safer getting a loo seat from the bogs and asking for your food to be served on that rather than a food tray!

You will see how the seller has cleverly set up the above image to effectively matt-out the L/H side of the "mask" making the application of the logo stand out less - i.e. - this is not an image of the actual garment with logo, there is no image of the "actual" garment* on the seller's site but he/she is relying on the buyer to just go ahead and order anyway based entirely on the volunteered image, an image that looks more appealing than the competition i think most would agree, even forgetting the model. *to me, downright outrageous, a speedy, solely money-making gamble of a scheme.
