  9. Moving to a better forum software package - things like:

easier to upload pictures (drag and drop into browser)
rate posts for like/dislike/ etc and hides poorly rated posts
responsive design that works much better on mobile devices
    Faster page loads
    cleaner interface and design
    much better private message system

    and a lot more.

  10. Platform 9.5, the Harry potter gets a Ducati version

  11. Are you just hijacking Facebook?

  12. Sounds good to me

  13. Will all previous posts, threads, and images be deleted irretrievably at the time of the changeover? Just asking.

  14. Everything will be intact with nothing lost. There may be some delay in getting album some photos over and also the classifieds site.

If anyone is interested in beta testing the new site please pm me. Cheers.

  15. hoping!!!!?

  16. Will I be able to change my username come switchover time , to Peter James 11

  17. You mean you just want the Lounge to be called "Just Bollox". I don't see why not.

  18. All sounds marvellous, although I have to say that I find this forum software already far better than any other forum I have ever seen (most of which just make you want to lose the will to live).
As regards mobile, I use Tapatalk anyway which works fine.
Rating posts is a good plan, though. Less of a blunt instrument than the "Like" function.

More space for private messages will be very handy, as I always have to delete some in order to send another, and it's not as if I have a very frequent use of them.

Hope the "Group" software is a little more intuitive - I can't understand the current version.

  19. Great points glid.

The he problem is future proofing. VBulletin is no longer updating this version and their new version is bug ridden and poorly implemented. The makers of Xenforo (new software) left VBulletin to start their own company. It's the best thing for us.
